Starbucks' Copycat Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew

A strong iced coffee at your fingertips is one of the most satisfying moments during the mornings. Couple that with a sweet cold foam on top and you have the perfect drink. I’m going to show you my Starbucks’ copycat recipe of the Vanilla Sweet Cream Cold Brew.

12 oz or 1 1/2 cup coarsely ground coffee beans

6 cups water

½ cup half and half

1 tbsp sugar

squeeze of vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract

  1. Into a jar, I just add the coarsely ground coffee beans and pour in the water. Using a spoon, press down on the coffee ground so that it is fully hydrated. Place it in the fridge for 12 hours to overnight.

  2. Once brewed, strain it into a cup.

  3. In a separate cup, add half and half, sugar, and vanilla bean paste. Using a milk frother, whip it up until you see tiny bubbles, or your desired consistency.

  4. Pour it on top of your cold brew and enjoy!

Cold brew is not only more concentrated, it tends to be less acidic than regular brewed coffee. It’s very smooth and slightly sweet, making it so refreshing. I like making a big jug like this for the weekend and enjoy as needed. Weekends tend to be packed for us, so extra coffee is always welcomed. Enjoy this delicious coffee treat to get us through the day!
